Comments/contents
Meetings are an integral part of employees' everyday experiences. On average, employees of today’s organizations spend six hours per week in meetings. They meet to generate ideas, talk about problems, develop solutions, and make decisions. What happens in workplace meetings has implications for individual employee attitudes and wellbeing, as well as for team and organizational performance. This seminar provides insights into the emerging science of workplace meetings. Students will gain a profound overview of the state of the art in meeting research and the organizational practice of meetings. They will also generate their own research idea and write a research proposal that addresses a gap in the literature.
